The Story of

 Carlito and Lanie

          There was a couple who lived in a simple life at Sta. Rosa Laguna.They both have the job at Royal Cable in Calamba, Laguna. They met at the same place and the same location where they both work. It was an accidentally meeting then. The girl's name was Lanie and the boy is Carlito.

          One day,Lanie came late to her office.She saw a letter with chocolates and three white roses. She wondered where all those things came from. "who owned this?" Lanie said, no one answered. She always receives a gift every morning. After a week,she found out that all the gifts she received came from Carlito. Lanie saw him;

Lanie: Why are you hiding?

Carlito: Coz' I cant speak straight when you're in front of me im sorry.

Lanie: No, its okay,if you really want to court me then face me without fear.

Carlito: Sure! okay..I will do it nextime.

Lanie: Okay, thanks for your everyday gift. I appreciate it. See you around.

Carlito turned back. He whispered saying;

Carlito: Yes! I did it!

          And the story begun.Carlito didnt stop court Lanie until he caught her heart. Days ran out happily with the two. Carlito made it.

          After five years courting and dating , Lanie and Carlito married at the church of "Our Lady of Fatima" near the house of Lanie. The reception was very elegant, having pink motif with flowers in every angle of it. The day ended successfully and happily.

          The next day, Lanie and Carlito transfered to their next home at Sta. Rosa Laguna near the house of Carlito. Lanie and Carlito lived a simple life in a subdivision.

          Two years ago, Lanie got pregnant for their first baby. Carlito was very excited of becoming a Father. Nine months after, a baby girl was born. She so cute and quite big that Lanie should be Cesarian. They were  glad for havimg an angel. 

Carlito: I'm so glad my wife,our baby was healthy.

Lanie: Really?..Thank god she's alive, I want to see her..

Carlito: No, you have to rest first, later I'll get the baby.

Lanie: Okay..


They named it "Aliah Lei" .


          After four days staying in the Hospital, Lanie recovered and finally get home. Past one year is gone, it was their baby's first special birthday. They don't even know that their baby got sick. One day Lanie and Carlito noticed that there's something in their baby, she had tumor. The couple were worried so that they go to hospital to be sure. Then the doctor examined Aliah. He found out that the baby was suffering from tumor cancer stage two.


Doctor: Oh god!


          I'm sorry but your baby was suffering from tumor cancer stage two, we need chemotherapy for her. Lanie became sad, Lanie was crying and Carlito didn't know what to do. He couldn't believe that Aliah is sick.


          Lanie and Carlito stayed at the Hospital for a long time for Aliah's chemotherapy every month. After six months of therapy, Lanie felt pity to her baby. She couldn't take a long time seeing her baby suffered.


Carlito: Hello baby, how are you?.. are you thirsty? Do you want to drink? (Carlito burst in tears) your mom and dad waiting for you to be fine soon.
Lanie: (crying) I love you baby, we love you,were always here for you..i miss you..


          While Aliah is sleeping, tears from her eyes came. Lanie staired at her, She saw her baby's face fighting for her life. Although its hard, she still tried to fight. Carlito said; "Baby if you're tired get sleep,if you're tired to fight then get rest.We love you so much baby, we'll miss you..(tears flowing slowly)".


           After a while, Aliah had rest for peace. Lanie and Carlito accepted the last breath of their baby. She's gone. although its hard for them to move on, they really tried it for their baby.


             Life is so short, so we have to value our lives. we have to live our life happily and meaningful though we're struggling for something.
